I'm unable to purchase a Racor 500 diesel filter/water separator from ASAP supplies at the moment as they have been out of stock for over a week now and aren't able to give me any idea as to when the next batch will be in from the manufacturer.
Would like to remove the standard filter fitted to my 250 (2.8 QSD) and replace with a better quality one with a clear glass bowl at the bottom. My only other option is the Delphi type which isn't nearly as expensive as the Racor but also has the glass bowl to enable any water to be seen.
My question is what one should I purchase in terms of litres per hour of fuel that can pass through it. They do two types as far as I can see, 45 or 90 litres per hour.
What size should I buy and are they any good?
